This is Joy no.3 is a series of paintings of the same scene. The first one was sold in September 2021. The second one is a pastel painting on a pastel paper and still available.
This painting is a 40 x 50cm oil painting on stretched canvas. Cold wax medium and marble dust were used to create thick textures in parts of the painting. This painting is ready to hang.
The colour palette of this little painting was inspired by Monet’s paintings of ile saint Martin. However, it was still painted in my own personal style and composition. I enjoyed painting this scene so much. There will be more different versions to come.
