"Third Creek" was inspired by one of the many creeks that flow into Lake Tahoe. While the lake itself is always fairly busy with people, I find the creeks provide a nice private sanctuary in nature. “Third Creek” is an abstract representation of the reflection and movement of the water, incorporating the colors of the surrounding flora. Layers of acrylic are poured, stained and splashed on linen. I loved utilizing the natural color of the linen in this painting. This original painting measures 30"x40".
