I needed to get this off my chest. It)# been while sinceI have depicted a “Fleuriste”, but in this case the flowers are few, and rather than filling the background with more vases and flowers, I chose a quiet, vintage-y wallpaper pattern. I love the subject’s expression, although she isn’t giving away all she is thinking. I dedicate this piece to a special friend of mine, who recently lost a lifelong friend. His canvas is painted around the edges, so the painting can be hung, unframed.
