Original artwork description:

In Chinese (philosophy and religion) Yin and Yang means two principles, one negative-dark, and one positive-bright, whose interaction influences the destinies of creatures and things.

In my 3D artwork I used found objects to represent the white side = recyclable materials like; glass, wood, metal, paper, fabric made out of cotton, sea shells, etc, and on the black side = non-recyclable materials like; plastic.

My artwork was inspired by "The Global Climate Change" situation that we are facing right now.

The Overconsumption is costing us, the earth and human, happiness.

We really need to be more selective of the things and stuff that we are consuming, because it's unbelievable the amount of energy that industries, all over the world consume to produce things and stuff that we don't really need it, and then it is used an unbelievable amount of energy to dispose of all of the things and stuff that we put in the bin. Unfortunately this is turning into an endless circle of nonsense. This enormous amount of energy is translated in some way or another as pollutants to our planet causing a Global warming.

This artwork is a protest against an excessive consumption of things and stuff.

We need to find our balance again! We need to stop the world's obsession with all things material and it is only possible if each one of us choose to change our unsustainable habits!

Materials used:

acrylic paint, brushes, hot glue, found objects
