Painted after a trip into the parc natural régional Chartreuse, in France. A day that began with a fog so thick it was difficult to see your hands in front of your face, only slightly to blame was the ice cold Chartreuse from the night before. For the vision, not the fog.
This little snippet of the late afternoon, as the mountains finally proved they were there by poking through the low lying cloud, is oil on a wooden panel.
Looking at this scene I can feel the icy road underfoot, the warmth of the fire and of course, the Chartreuse.
Framed in a handmade pine floater frame.
Oil and acrylic on board
