Original artwork description:

I was invited by Italian artist Elena Morizio to participate in World Art Project "Reflections for change" as the representative of my born country, Moldova.

The aim of the project: by using the mirror and creativity to express your thoughts and feelings during the pandemic and lock down.

I decided to paint Themis:

"To express my feelings and thoughts by art, I chose Themis - the goddess of justice in ancient Greek mythology. The daughter of the god of the Sky and the goddess of the Earth was from the Titans's generation and symbolized justice and measure.

Themis weighed on the scales the actions of people committed during their lifetime.

So my question freezes unanswered:

What's on the scale pan under the symbol of "question"? Will we find out the truth and what's next?

Will we preserve the fragility of the soul, works of authorship, poetry, romanticism, or everything will fit the comb of statistics and new technologies ...

What do you see on the scales and what question do you still have unanswered?"

Commissions are welcomed. If you see the painting you like, but would like the different size or colour combination – please feel free to contact me and we’ll make it happened.

I would be delighted to create a unique work, whatever size you need or colour palette. If you need more information about the artwork, please feel free to contact me.

The image depicts a representation of Justitia, the Roman goddess of justice, identifiable by her blindfold and the pair of scales she holds. She appears to be standing, poised with scales in one hand, which is a traditional attribute used to symbolize the fair and unbiased weighing of evidence. The background is likely plain or dark, accentuating the figure of Justitia as the central element. No text is present in the image. The portrayal of Justitia in a blindfold suggests the ideal that justice should be applied without prejudice.
