Original artwork description:
This is a watercolour based on my sketches and photos taken last weekend, in Paris, of the iconic Arc du Triomphe wrapped in cloth by Christo and Jeanne-Claude Foundation, as a temporary installation. It gives this well known monument another purpose - that of a work of art... and it is quite fascinating.
As I used a mineral pigment in this painting there is a little shimmer depending on the position of light.
Due to problems with shipping to several countries ( except Europe ) because of Covid restrictions, I have decided to use a courier, which means a significant hike in shipping prices.
If you don't mind waiting for the delivery I can use the normal Post, with cheaper prices, and I will gladly reimburse the excess shipping cost. Just send me a message, if that is the case.
