About the painting

Inspired by one of the most loved fairy tales of all time, Cinderella. 'The Wish' is an interpretation of Charles Perrault's Cendrillon and the Brothers Grimm, Aschenputtel; featuring a sample from 'The Apotheosis of Hercules' found in the Palace of Versailles; and a rendition of Neuschwanstein Castle (the inspiration behind Disney's fairy tale castle).
