Original artwork description:

On the edge of the marsh, where I often paint en plein air, there is a small willow tree.
I have studied it for years, in all seasons. In winter, when it loses its leaves, its long, fragile branches remain to caress the water. And on windy days those branches seem to fly in the leaden sky. I love this willow tree, alone among so many tin shacks. It is it, with its simplicity and its special relationship with the wind, that makes this deserted place enchanting.
This painting is dedicated to the infinite beauty of nature, to be discovered in every corner.
But it is also dedicated to those who, with humility and simplicity, manage to enlighten the lives of others.

The painting was created in the studio in August 2023. It is a reworking of several studies done en plein air.
The work is painted in oil on rough paper, then applied on 100% linen canvas mounted on a fixed fir frame custom-built by the artist.
The signature is in the lower right corner.
The painting is protected with a layer of satin acrylic varnish.
The work comes with a thin wooden frame to protect the edges. It is ready to hang.
The painting is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by the artist.
"The willow and the wind" is the literal translation of the original Italian title "Il salice e il vento".
