That watercolor painting I made at the Ligurian coast at the wonderful Sestri-Levante. It was a very special place with its own atmosphere, beautiful old town and wide beaches. As we came in early spring there were no tourists and it was quite silent and calm. So we enjoyed the sea views in quietly and I made some Plein air watercolours during our short stay. This time I chose an incredible white stone on the beach as a painting object. Probably a marble piece, it had a layered texture and it dazzling shined at the sunlight. Deep contrast shadows of the stones, the azure color of the sea, and all the surroundings looked like amazing scenery created by nature.
