Artwork description:

Light blue skies and rust brown rushes, a soft pastel toned landscape from the Isle of Orkney in the north of Scotland. The image was made at a small loch (lake) beside the The Ring of Brodgar, the most famous and oldest of the standing stones in the UK. For thousands of years, these huge monoliths have stood overlooking this little lochan. Standing on a serene morning at the edge of the water, with the swans taking flight, it seems no wonder to me that ancient people felt this place was so special.

Orkney is a place of water and smooth rolling hills interspersed with pools of silver water; it is a place of peace and calm and gentle light. The colours here are muted and sunlight rests gently on the hills. This rustic neutral tone image is quiet and soothing yet has a story and a history that make it noteworthy.

Limited Edition

About My Work
I believe in giving my clients beautiful artwork on luxury papers that hold their colours for a lifetime!

I Love Printing!
Your beautiful artwork will be Giclée printed here in my studio on Skye on fabulous Canson Aquarelle 310gsm paper. Canson have been making paper for over 450 years and their paper was used by Picasso, Ingres, Miro and Warhol to name but a few. The inks I use are state-of-the-art non fade Epson Ultrachrome K3 with Vivid Magenta.

Your print is signed, titled and numbered in the bottom corners and is prepared with a generous white border to make it easy to mount. The print is carefully wrapped in acid free tissue then shipped rolled in a sturdy art tube.

I am very particular about printing. Unlike many artists, I print all my own work so that I remain in control of the art from concept to delivery. If you have any questions please get in touch for a chat.
