The Venus of The Hague – 29-05-20
This one is one step further abstracted than my previous drawing ‘The Venus of The Hague – 26-05-20’. I left the atmospheric depth for what it is and focused on the rhythym of dark and light plains, combined with a contrast in sharp and dark linear patterns that counterbalance bigger plains of midtones with blurry smooth delineations. I tried to keep it as essential as I could and still maintain the image of a sensual woman.
Graphite pencil drawing (Sakura 0.5 mm, 3B) on Talens Bristol paper (21 x 29.7 x 0.1 cm) - A4 format)
