The Venus of The Hague – 23-05-20 (sold)
Based on my previous drawing ‘The Venus of The Hague – 18-05-20’ I went further in abstracting body shapes after my roundism style but still referring to the play of light and dark in the original. My aim was to find attractive circles, rectangles and triangles and combine them, thus tricking the spectator into believing the model to be real somehow. Perhaps I do some more after this motif but not sure what to do next. Let me ponder.
Graphite pencil drawing (Sakura 0.5 mm, 3B) on Canson Bristol paper (21 x 29.7 x 0.1 cm) - A4 format)
