" The tulip woman " is a dreamlike painting on cotton canvas stretched over wood, depicting a flower-woman wearing a tulip dress in shades of red and vermilion. Her long braid wraps around a vermilion-red bar like a climbing vine.

The painting is set off in an attractive antique black and gold frame that has been chinaed and adapted to the canvas's size.
