The unknown, the mystery, the unconscious, in a woman's face looking from the outside at the other side of herself. This work is part of the ‘LO SPECCHIO E LA MASCHERA’ series. The main inspiration for this work is the portrait, fascinating, flanked by a dark mask, the mask as an instrument of deception, but also as a means of deepening self-knowledge. From the dark black appears an eye looking at us while holding in his hands a mask he uses to hide himself, the triangle symbol of perfection.
I created this digital work with a figurative approach, exploring the theme of identity and perception. The use of bright colours and geometric shapes represents the complexity of being human and the intertwining of emotions that defines us. This energetic and provocative composition invites the viewer to reflect on their hidden self.
