The concept of a tree of life is a widespread mytheme or archetype in the world's mythologies, related to the concept of sacred tree more generally, and hence in religious and philosophical tradition. In its whole shape it symbolizes life, abundance, birth, death and then birth again. Tree is one of the most powerful symbolic meanings to the humanity and this painting provides another view on it. The rays of the sun shining through the leaves represent warmth and source of life given to all living beings.
