The tortoise and the Dung Beetle 12x16 oil on panel. This is by far the stupidest wildlife painting I have done but what can I say it makes me laugh and smile. There used to be this funny nature program I use to watch growing up in the 1980s. It reminds me of that. I’m a London-based artist, and my work often reflects vivid and surreal imagery inspired by my unique experience with REM intrusion—a condition where dream-like visions can appear while I’m awake. My paintings explore the boundary between waking reality and the dream world, using layered compositions to create a sense of depth and movement. I paint with high-quality materials and put a lot of thought into texture and detail. My process is a mix of intuitive brushwork and deliberate layering, aiming to create pieces that are rich in emotion and invite you to see something new each time you look at them.
