The Timeless Gatekeeper
As time goes by, on the stretches of water, the locks go through the grind withstanding all the conditions to let the boats pass by and regulate the rise and fall of water. This painting is inspired by the continuous dedicated functioning of the locks on the canal waterways, to highlight the valuable work which they perform. In a quest that it might help to put them in the focus and we can pause to ponder for a while, their unique relevance which we might tend to overlook in our day to day busy lives.
