Original artwork description:

The portrait is inspired by a black and white photo by Jean Agélon, which represents Fernande Barrey, a French model of the painters of Montmartre in the 1920s. This artwork represents maybe the nostalgia for a past that I have not known and that not belongs to me, and for an ideal of beauty not shouted but whispered. The three roses have various meanings: the white rose means pure and spiritual love, the pink rose means affection, the black rose means revival through the sacrifice, therefore eternal life.
