Original Watercolour painting by Alan Harris contemporary British artist
Size 8" x 11"
Mounted size 12" x 16"
The Sycamore Gap Tree, or Robin Hood Tree was a sycamore tree standing next to Hadrian's Wall near Crag Lough in Northumberland, England. It was an incredibly popular landmark of Northumberland, and was planted in the late 1800s by previous landowner John Clayton to be a "feature in the landscape". The world-famous tree was cut down in September 2023 in what police believe was a deliberate act of vandalism.
Powerful and evocative this painting can be a wonderful, stunning centre piece to any home or office.
The painting is mounted in a 3" white mount ready to be framed in a standar 12" x 16" frame
Comment on Alan's work
There is something about viewing a painting that has a peaceful, calm, force about it . It slows the senses, so the dreams that come will hold our ability to drift off into that peacefulness!!
Alan, you again created a masterpiece! It’s such a pleasure to watch it and to absorb its stunning.
