Photorealistic exotic fish painting of the beautiful Arowana in the blue water.
I channel my enthusiasm for the amazing characteristics of animals by rendering them with academic oil painting techniques on canvas. I only used black and white to really capture the feature of the object. I really enjoyed painting those amazing scales, shiny body.

Arowanas are freshwater bony fish of the family Osteoglossidae, also known as bony tongues. They are related to primitive fish. Many people are fascinated by Arowana because of its beauty with dignity, also a status symbol of wealth and power. They are popular as aquarium fish but listed as endangered species.
