Artwork description:
Based on Dante's 'Divine Comedy', this piece is about being lost in the woods and seeing the path ahead.
I did a short edition of this piece before continuing to work into it to print State 2. It is carved for boxwood and the tree that the woodblock was cut from would have been very very old to have such a large (for wood-engraving) circumference. I love seeing the natural form of the wood.
