Original artwork description:
This is a mixed media urban sketch of The Square in Shrewsbury.
True to the principles of urban sketching, I drew this on location one rather chilly Sunday morning in August. After completing the drawing in fineliner (ink), I then used a Woody (a watercolour and wax crayon) to add white to the sky, touches of white to the bunting and a few highlights.
The paper is 30 x 21 cm cream Winsor & Newton 160 gsm pastel paper.
