Original artwork description:

This is the fourth in this series of paintings that explores the merging and blending of atmospheres, matter and void and light and dark.

To create these energetic pieces, I try out different mark making to capture and convey what is solid and immaterial and the friction and pull-push between the two when the weather is tempestuous.
As I am painting it is as if I am right there in the painting reliving the experience of being next to the water’s edge on a wild day.

'The Spirit of Water IV' is ready to hang. The edges, painted white, are 1.75" deep so framing is not required. All paintings are varnished to add a protective coat against dust.

Only the highest quality archival fine art grade oil paints are used on the surface gessoed and prepared by myself.

Packing: all work is packed professionally using protective compressed foam boards 2 cm deep so that your painting arrives safely.
