On the ground, the soil of the island, solid! Like a pebble in the middle of the ocean!

And yet, at a certain distance under our feet, there is a liquid and gaseous universe, of molten rocks, of magmatic rivers, explosions in a concert of thunder cavernous, fountains of lava glowing in the darkness of the basement.

And sometimes the volcano reminds us. And everyone rushes to admire this terrifying beauty straight from the depths.

The world is not as solid as it looks, and so are our certainties.
