"The spirit of the forest" invites, with its clear colors and its silence, to meditation and calm. The painting is a tribute to an artist whom I greatly admire: Hayao Miyazaki, a true genius of our time. On the one hand, the character evokes the sorcerer Hauru of the Howl's Moving Castle, with his androgynous look and his squared cut, on the other, he recalls the majestic deer-god of the forest inhabited by San, Princess Mononoke.
In Miyazaki's works, there is everything I love: strong, intelligent heroines, independent of human action, a fantastic, poetic universe, a hint of mythology and religion and, finally, an ecological message. . "The spirit of the forest" is a modest tribute to the master!
