The the wrought iron spiral staircase at Kew Gardens has been the subject of many of my sketches but I have never been able to find just the right angle to do it justice as a finished linocut print. However this time round I took the bull by the horns and with a lot of trials and errors I think I might’ve finally rendered the staircase justice!
This will be a limited edition of 20 variable prints, I have so far made three and as they are still at the initial stages of experimentation I have priced them lower than the numbered edition will eventually be.
Please be aware that as I hand press my work there are faint marks and creases due to the nature of linocut printmaking and how I work, and in my eyes these attributes of the craft are proof that what you will be receiving is 100% made by hand and not a digitally enhanced copy.
