This oil and cold wax painting is about the freedom of space I experience when I arrive at one of my favourite places where the sand meets the sea. The beach in this painting is witness to pelicans feeding and flying in squadron like formation, turtles laying their eggs, howler monkeys calling from the trees edging the sand, along with iguanas, squirrels and birds. Lobsters, dolphins, sharks and other fish inhabit the sea with a lone sea lion. There is something wherever you look, and yet there are also the seemingly untouched spaces in between. It feels like where the sea meets the land, magic happens.
