Artwork description:

Using only form and shape to convey a sense of space, between real and imagined I photographed this image of a model behind lite translucent plexiglass, burned down the silhouette in post processing to darken it down further, added the grunge texture on top of the ground glass focus screen texture. I grew up on film photography and that vintage feel is what I was going for here. I would spend hours in the darkroom experimenting with creative outcomes of images on print often without acceptable result. Those few keepers though, made it worth the exercise.

Typically a ground glass focus screen would have displayed the image upside down but for the sake of the image overall I felt it added something more as does the monochrome treatment to maximize the impact of the image and left it as is.

The image is printed on archival quality pro luster paper.

Materials used:

Canon 7D mkii, Wacom Tablet, Photoshop CC 2015, Canon Pro 1 Printer, Archival Quality Paper
