A new day starts with a smile of light and that smile should be carried forward through out the day!

This work was inspired by a photo captured by my dear friend

A brilliant artist that she is, she has captured the Kerala back waters so beautifully. I have never asked any one so far if could use their picture for my work, but the abstracted look of this composition astounded me and I asked Aasha if I could paint it, she gladly said yes! Thank you Aasha, it was a lovely painting time!

The backwaters are unique to Kerala. Meandering through the coastal areas of Kerala is a long intricate network of lagoons, lakes, canals and deltas of several rivers that flow into the Arabian Sea.
