Based upon the fairytale the Princess and the Pea


Printed on 250gsm watercolour paper .

A Collagraph print is one made from a plate with different textures. The printing plate is made from mount board. The process is a combination of intaglio and relief.

I created a collage of my image using fabrics, adhesive and also cutting into the card. It is then sealed with shellac. Ink is applied to the collagraph plate by hand. The beauty of this process is the way all the colours merge together when printed and no image will ever be the same.
