This painting is pieced together from my photographs and impressions of Provence and lavender fields. The magic sky inspired me on one of the cloudy days of spring. It was very expressive. The sun shimmers through the clouds like precious stones. _x000D_ The sky is wide and bottomless. And I have a feeling that the scent of lavender rises to the sky and fills the entire space of the picture._x000D_ ======================================_x000D_ The painting was done in mixed media. I used acrylic paints in the first coat. And then she did all the work with oil pastels._x000D_ After finishing the painting, I fixed the pastel layers with hot air (from a hairdryer). In this case, the pastels are sintered. And it becomes as strong as dried oil paint._x000D_ And she also covered the picture with a thin layer of acrylic varnish._x000D_ You can arrange this canvas like a picture on paper. That is, with a mat under glass or without glass and in a baguette._x000D_ Or you can stretch this canvas onto a stretcher. Then you can hang the picture without decorating it in a baguette. The size will decrease slightly, then the edges of the frame will be a continuation of the picture in all directions.
