In this painting the lines have the movement of floating and waves which causes the eyes to search the painting and these lines cause the eyes to look for colour .The painting leads humans from a start to finish and creates regret in you about life. However there are many things in this painting that have a deep meaning .The artist has tried to show the tune of life through the halfway born baby who is playing the piano. The different parts of the disunited parts of the body of the mother show the amount of pressure that is being caused in this process through mentally and both physically .The different details around the painting such as the eye that is on the piano or the keys of the piano which are like a fish's skeleton/anatomy, the legs of the piano which are made of bones and other details show the process of life.The movement of the butterflies on the stairs on the left side of the painting can be a symbol of getting closer to meeting death as you grow older.Through this, this relationship full of vague between the relationship between the mother and the son and the other details the artist has tried to show hope to the rest of the environment in a completely hopeless scene .The colours are simple and tiring even in the sky however the different movements, positions,and people like the the girl who is jumping on a rope on the chess show the freshness in this hopelessness .
