This is a limited edition series of cyanotype prints created from a photograph I took while sailing in Turkey. This beautiful cat lived in a marina we visited and would be found snoozing on whichever boat took her fancy, hence the title.
Total No. Prints Available: 25
Size: A4 (29.7 X 21cms)
Surface: Bockingford cold-press 140lbs watercolour paper.
Certificate of Authenticity.
Free UK postage.
Each print in the series is slightly different, complete with organic watermarks and runs. I love this organic process and the unpredictable results that can happen, and I only create them using natural sunlight.
This print is sold unmounted and unframed, and a border is left around the edges to give the option of leaving the variable edges showing if desired. It is signed and numbered on the back, and comes with a certificate of authenticity. It will be sent in a padded envelope via Royal Mail tracked and signed-for.
The cyanotype process uses a mixture of iron compounds, which when exposed to UV light and washed with water oxidise to create beautiful Prussian Blue images - one of my favourite colours.
