I just love allotments especially if they are disheveled the organised chaos is a delight to the eye. In this painting I hoped to capture the atmosphere of the allotment at the end of the summer season .The dark sky perhaps a prelude to the winter weather to come.
This painting was developed from sketches made on site as I walked around allotments in the North East of England.
