Four little separate paintings of a couple relating to their life, family and the four seasons.

1. Spring: the couple meet under a young tree with an angel in the top branches. The woman scatters flowers and seeds.

2. Summer: The couple have two children. The tree is more mature now and a tiny tree is sprouting where the seeds fell.

3. Autumn: The couple are aged; a breeze surrounds them and the colours are russet and golden.

4. Winter: The couple are departed now but are birds on the top of the tree where the angel once sat. The angel now descends to the smaller tree to start the cycle again.

Painted in ink, watercolour and pearlescent acrylics on handmade paper, applied to four small paper covered box canvasses; ready to hang.
Each of the four units measure 5 x 7 x 1.5 inches / 12.5 x 17.5 x 3.5
Each image is approximately 3.5 x 5.5 inches / 8.5 x 13.5
