I live and work near the sea and the majesty and movement of the water influence much of my work including this painting. This painting is called The Sea's Spell. It is a statement abstract mixed media painting. It depicts a visually rich, illusionary landscape. Inspired by the magical magnetism of the sea. It is an painting with layers of detail and complexity.

Made by adding layer upon layer of watercolour and ink. It features gold paint detailing which captures the light. It is painted on beautifully heavy watercolour paper made from 100% cotton and featuring a deckled edge.
