Child
In the typical scenario recluse is usually portrayed as old and sometimes dirty person. The one who decided to leave everything behind. But that is nothing more than a stereotype.
The recluse is, first of all a person who is driven by curiosity, the person who is not running from something, but towards it.
And what is a better example of curiosity than a child, a creature who has every concept to learn.

Books
Books are nothing more than an instrument, a light of knowledge that ables the recluse to acquire higher knowledge.

Field
Represents the comfort of not knowing, the comfort of shell we are all like to hide in, but the safety and warmth of it.

Ladder
Ladder in this composition serves as a representation of a bridge. Bridge between our, small world, prison of our point of view and the unlimited world of miracles and horrors.

The cosmos
Representation of the world that surrounds us. The monsters and wonders that hide just a millimetre beyond your field of view. The unlimited possibilities we are not able to explore due to our nature. And the void, that grows within itself to die and be reborn, again and again
