Painted After a trip to the coast on a glittering day The sky and the sea were very close in colour. I used a wide canvas to give plenty of room to express the sea and sky building colour with a pallet knife creating gentle textures. I stumbled on a popular Romantic British poet Barry Cornwall 1787-1874 and used the first line of his poem” The sea! the sea! the open sea! which I felt was a perfect title for the Painting . Title text on left and right edge in toning colours. Presented ready to hang unframed. Signed on bottom edge, titled signed and dated on the reverse + 1st verse of poem. Shipped carefully packed in a box dispatched with a track and trace identity.
The sea! the sea! the open sea!
The blue, the fresh, the ever free!
Without a mark, without a bound,
It runneth the earth’s wide regions round;
It plays with the clouds; it mocks the skies;
Or like a cradled creature lies.
