Original artwork description:

This oil painting depicts the vastness and mystery of the deep, expansive sea. According to Ocean Wise, we know more about space than we do about the ocean; ocean depths are still 95% unexplored. The harsh reality is that as human influence pollutes the sea and causes its temperatures to rise, we destroy and threaten increasing numbers of ocean life, ecosystems and terrains before we have had a chance to learn about them.

Dominated by a rich, dark shade of blue evocative of the depths of the ocean, there are subtle variations in hue and texture that create a sense of movement and depth. At the edges of the painting, small seed-like shapes emerge, gradually growing in size as they move towards the centre of the canvas. These shapes, reminiscent of oceanic plankton or other microscopic organisms, add an element of intrigue and complexity to the painting. They seem to be floating and swirling, caught up in the currents of the ocean, and drawing the viewer's gaze towards the centre of the canvas.

This piece is signed and dated on the back and comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity. It will be carefully wrapped in tissue and foam board and shipped in a cardboard box within five working days.
