Pencil and charcoal drawing on canvas and cardboard representing the imaginary portrait of Maria Maddalena de' Pazzi (Florence, 1566 - 1607), a Carmelite nun whose spirituality profoundly influenced the Florentine society of the seventeenth century. Her sisters wrote down her words, her gestures and many letters (only a few were delivered to their recipients), aimed at reforming the Church. She was proclaimed a saint by Pope Clement IX on April 22, 1669.
