Artwork description:

I’m like a magpie but instead of sparkly objects I swoop in on historical glass structures, which have a sparkle all of their own.
As you walk along the busy streets of central London this intricately beautiful facade cannot be passed by without a moment to dwell on its almost lace-like delicacy. Hundreds of panels of glass glint whatever the weather and the wrought iron curves hide a multitude of details. It was built to the side of the original opera house building during the mid 19th century and is a magical place to visit.
I will be making a limited number of 12 and each handmade print I’ll make will be different to the other.
This is number 2 in the edition and is a much more minimal stark image of a night view.
Please be aware that as the Lino block goes through many stages of different colours that the paper might have slight creases left by the printing process these are all signs that you are receiving a handmade piece of art.

Materials used:

Somerset satin 250gsm and oil based ink
