This painting is inspired by the way that buildings hold the memories of past events and evoke the emotions of the people who used to live there.
I used a fun technique with silver leaf that gives an interesting effect of falling ash. I feel this adds to the atmosphere of past events that led to destruction.
This piece was painted on two pieces of paper, mounted on wooden panels, connected by clamps. I had to cut the paper off for transport. It is now in 2 paper rolls and needs to be framed. I can frame it before sale. Contact me for framing preferences and size restraints as it is a larger piece.
