Original artwork description:

This painting was inspired by my love of the mountainous landscape of the north west of England and of Scotland. It doesn't aim to represent a particular place but rather to capture the feeling of the changing light and the eternal beauty of the valleys and mountains.
The initial stages of this painting were put down quickly and intuitively, by using sweeping brushstrokes and scratching marks into the wet paint, and these were later refined and reworked more consciously. I have left the brushmarks and scratches visible to add to the dynamic qualities of the work.
This painting has been made using professional artist quality acrylics on canvas stretched over a wooden frame, and is completed with one coat of varnish for protection; the sides are painted white.
The painting is initialled in the lower right front and is labelled/signed in full on the reverse. It is unframed and has picture hooks and cord on the reverse so it's ready to hang.
It will be carefully packaged and sent tracked with a reputable carrier. A Certificate of Authenticity can be included if requested.
Please be aware that the shipping costs quoted are the maximum for the destination country and the package size: if there is a discrepancy between the estimated and actual postage costs, I will ask Artfinder to reimburse the difference to the buyer.
