In this oil painting, the minimalist rendering and the colors play an essential role and highlight the Pic Saint-Loup and the Montferrand castle, famous landmarks in the Montpellier area (south of France). Clean shapes and bold colors invoke a sense of wonder, reflecting the majesty of the elements. The simplification of this landscape which I see every day brings dynamic energy and a touch of contemplative serenity.
This oil, made on linen canvas from a watercolor made in-situ is framed (see last photos) and ready to hang.
