I met Robert in 2018 as he sat on a wall in Trafalgar Square, London. I started to talk to him about his life. He had moved from Canada to the UK with dreams of being an artist and musician but he had soon found himself homeless. He had recently had his guitar his most prized possession stolen but despite this he remained happy and grateful. He explained to me that he lived his life in a way that such matters meant little to him, he was grateful to be alive, grateful for his surroundings. He saw living as an amazing experience and was enjoying the journey.
In 2019 I was honoured to be informed that this painting has been selected for display at the prestigious London Biennale
