The grand playa of The Race Track in Death Valley is one of the most inspiration and surreal location i have ever travelled to. Here, the large rocks mysteriously move along the flat lake bed leaving long trails in the surface. Nobody quite knows how or why this happens but happens it does. The location can be reached along a 26 mile track that's very rough and requires a 4 wheel drive to pass. Shot on a specially modified infrared camera, this photograph portrays the mystery, isolation and atmosphere of this surreal, Fortean landscape.

This is an original, limited edition (of 50 + one artist's proof) , C-Type, darkroom print that is signed by Rod Edwards.
