Original artwork description:

The piece depicts a king (or wanna be king) that has resigned the Chess Game. The King was Defeated by the most powerful piece on the Chess Board: the Queen.

The slaying of the king took place under the ever-changing array of the Aurora Borealis. The aura of the piece is reflected via a vast display of vibrant color and diverse landscape.

The piece is a sister piece to my piece: Capturing The Aurora displayed on this page.
