The Porthole Cat was inspired by my summer holiday in St Ives Cornwall last year. The house that I stayed in had the most beautiful porthole window with a view out to the sea. When I saw the window, I knew instantly that my little cat Nala would just love to sleep there....and that's where I got the idea for this painting.
Painted in acrylic on a deep edged boxed canvas and framed in a white wooden floating frame.
Varnished for protection
Acrylic, graphite, varnish
