Original artwork description:

A sporting figure in a state of play painted loosely on a Studland warm blue board which has a fine surface with good absorption. The mannered style of this figure with this type of board lends itself to a free style of painting. . I apply the acrylic paint inquite a liquid form as the board absorbs the paint, so there is no need to worry about breaking down the paint binder. I use artists large hogs hair brushes to manipulate the work to give it a robust rendition. The work was originally painted in 1982 and has had some revision in 2022

The work only needs framing to to make it ready to hang and should preferably be framed under glass with a mount. A suggested frame width of at least 60mm or more for this size painting. Narrow frames on large paintings have tendency to not sit well and have a habit of warping.
